Meet at the Forest Service conference room upstairs.
Join the Science Center for a program entitled the "Copper River Knowledge System". It is currently in the development phase, using Geographic Information
Systems based technology to create a borderless, integrated data
source for information on the geography, geology, habitat types,
biology, human uses, economies, and changes in the landscape of
the Copper River Watershed.
Coupled to an integrated science plan focused on salmon and
salmon habitat, the efforts are focused on helping develop new and
better tools for the sustainable management of salmon.
Join us for an exciting hour of educational fun. All ages are welcome and our programs are free! Many of our programs include a hike or afternoon of exploration too. Please call Allen Marquette at the Science Center for more information @ 424-5800 ext 237 allen@pwssc.gen.ak.us or Torie Baker at the MAP office @ 424-7542
