Alaska Geology Trip

Sept. 19th at 7:00 PM

By Cordova High school Geology Class/Club

Meet at the Forest Service conference room upstairs.

The Cordova High School Science club recently returned from a nine day state wide geology trip.

Despite record rainfall, they managed to visit 2 national parks, two state parks, and three mines.  Students explored many new areas from their last trip with a major fossil find in the Denali Park.  Cordova High School students found a new dinosaur footprint and what may be the first impressions of fossil bones ever found in the park.

Join the Science Center and Cordova High School students as they share their trip with fossil and rock specimens, photos and stories of this awesome and scientifically important trip in Alaska’s interior.

Join us for an exciting hour of educational fun.  All ages are welcome and our programs are free!  Many of our programs include a hike or afternoon of exploration too.  Please call Allen Marquette at the Science Center for more information @ 424-5800 ext 237  allen@pwssc.gen.ak.us  or Torie Baker at the MAP office @ 424-7542
